We are seeking to recruit an excellent practitioner to join our successful Science Department who can teach their specialist degree to KS5 at Horsforth School.

Our school is dedicated to evidence-based practice with a focus on Rosenshines principles of instruction. We have a strong emphasis on incorporating educational research in to the classroom. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher where you will have the opportunity of working in a supportive and experienced science department with a strong team ethos. We believe in working collaboratively, sharing ideas and supporting each other to achieve great things as we develop innovative teaching and learning strategies. There is a strong emphasis on science at Horsforth School as we are a former science college and there is a high uptake of all science A levels and Triple science GCSE which we run as an option.
We are looking for a teacher who can add to our large diverse team of practitioners and to share our love of science to inspire the next generation of future STEM graduates
This would be an ideal opportunity for an experienced colleague who can teach across the ability range at KS3, KS4 and KS5. The position offers an excellent opportunity for either an established teacher or an NQT to join our high achieving school with an opportunity to teach to A level standard for suitable applicants. Science is delivered in subject specialism from year 9 as we have a firm belief in the importance of subject
