We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well qualified graduate to teach Classics to A-level. We have a thriving department with five members of staff who cover the teaching of Latin, Greek and Classical Civilisation from Year 7 through to GCSE, A-level and Oxbridge. Teaching is allocated according to areas of strength and expertise.
St Mary’s School Ascot has its own salary scale. We provide a full induction programme for NQTs.

St Mary's School Ascot is a leading Roman Catholic girls' boarding school set in 55 acres of beautiful grounds in the heart of Berkshire. There are 120 pupils in the sixth form. We are committed to full boarding, with spaces for a few day pupils living nearby. St Mary’s has a strong reputation as an academic school within the Catholic tradition. Entry to the school is selective. All pupils are expected to take 9 or 10 GCSEs, and almost all stay on for the Sixth Form to pursue their A Levels. Our leavers invariably go on to higher education, the vast majority to Russell Group universities or similar, including 10-15% to Oxbridge.
