Job overview

From 30th October 2023, an opportunity to teach Computer Science within an exciting 3-16 co-educational independent day school in our beautiful, leafy setting in the grounds of the former home of Charles Dickens.

The Teacher of Computer Science will work with small classes from Key Stage 2 to GCSE, for the duration of a maternity cover.

Computer Science is taught to all pupils through to the end of Lower Fourth (Year 8) and is a popular option subject for study to GCSE from the start of the Upper Fourth (Year 9). Although the Teacher of Computer Science will predominantly be delivering lessons to pupils in Key Stages 3 and 4, our work on a single, coherent One Curriculum for the whole school means that they could also be required to deliver lessons to pupils in the Lower School (Key Stage 2). Willingness to deliver a small number of KS3 Mathematics lessons each week would be an advantage.

The advertised role is for a maternity cover which is due to commence on 30th October 2023.
