Teacher of Computing and ICT

From September 2018

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our strong and energetic department as part of the Faculty of Technology and Enterprise alongside Business and DT. Computing is already a strength in our school and we are seeking a colleague who is passionate about their subject and committed to developing their practice as we continue to find opportunities to further improve the outcomes and experience for our students. Our work with technology across the curriculum, where every student and member of staff has their own personal Chromebook is important to us; we are proud to be a Google Reference School.

All students study Computing at KS3 in discrete lessons and and a growing number continue their studies into KS4 and beyond. We currently offer AQA Computing and Cambridge Nationals in ICT at KS4 and AQA Computing at KS5. Outside of the classroom, we are engaged with local businesses to offer opportunities to students, and engage with local Universities and training providers to nurture future teachers.

We offer you:

● The support of hardworking, motivated and innovative colleagues within the subject, faculty and beyond, in our school where we are committed to caring for every individual.

● The chance to reflect on and develop your practice, to consistently improve our effective practice.

● Your own, well resourced teaching room and department base.

● Opportunities to teach at all key stages, covering both ICT and Computing.

● Opportunities to teach outside of Computing and ICT, particularly within the areas of Business and DT.
