Teacher of Computing & ICT.
Tes is currently supporting a friendly and supportive SEN school, based in Dudley. The school is looking to add a Teacher of Computing & ICT to its progressive and supportive ICT Department ideally starting ASAP.
The role will include teaching and coordinating the delivery of Computing & ICT at KS3, and GCSE. You will support the Head of Computing and ICT to enhance provision and will get the chance to get involved with exciting project work throughout the year. Project work will include revising schemes of work and ensuring the curriculum is engaging to all learners alongside projects that support student attainment, well-being and engagement within the wider school. You’ll also lead by example, supporting learners to achieve to the best of their ability and you’ll enjoy that great feeling when your learners achieve grades beyond their dreams.

We require an experienced and qualified secondary ICT teacher who has the ability to make a significant contribution to our school. The successful candidate will be an innovative, reflective practitioner who can demonstrate the willingness to adapt and learn. We are looking for an individual with high expectations and standards who can offer excellent behavioural management skills. An additional strength would be a creative, engaging approach to curriculum design and planning both within the classroom and also in the wider outdoor learning environment.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people with a range of complex learning needs. You will be able to demonstrate a working understanding of how these needs impact upon learning and behaviour in the classroom. You may have specialist knowledge and experience of working with autistic spectrum condition or children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Or you may have experience of working across both specialisms. Applications are invited from colleagues offering middle leadership experience, from mainstream schools and other educational settings, the experience of assessment, planning and delivery of ICT throughout KS3/KS4 is essential."

The school expects:
• A UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT, BEd or MEd with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• a relevant Computer Science / Computing / ICT Degree or a related subject
• experience of delivering Computing / ICT at least at GCSE level pushing and engaging learners to progress within the subject
• a love and passion for education.
