Job overview

Sutton High School is seeking an engaging and passionate teacher to deliver Computer Science to highly motivated girls in our senior school.

The successful candidate should have the capability to teach GCSE and A level Computer Science, creating challenging and thought-provoking lessons, with an emphasis on creativity and collaboration. The department is rapidly growing and leads on an exciting Space Technology Programme across the GDST network, as well as taking part in a range of computing and robotics competitions and projects. Computer Science is thriving here and this is an exciting time to join a growing team and to encourage more young women into this key area.

It will be essential that you are able to use Python to a high level, and/or another high-level language, and knowledge of robotics is desirable.

The ability to offer a second subject for KS3, such as Maths or DT, would be an advantage. Please ensure that you state any additional subjects in your application.

This role would be ideally suited to an ECT, who is looking to join a supportive department and faculty, with superb ECT provision for professional development. Experienced teachers are also most welcome to apply, as are those who are unqualified but keen to share their passion for computing, coding and programming.

We are ideally seeking a part-time teacher but will consider a full-time role if a second subject can be offered.
