MPS/UPS (Plus London Fringe Allowance)
September 2020 start.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Design or an Engineering related subject and will be keen to share their expertise. We seek a colleague who can create innovative and exciting lessons, motivate students to secure outstanding examination outcomes and engender a love for this area of the curriculum. The post is full-time and applications are invited from NQTs and experienced teachers.
We have a specialism in Engineering and are proud of the extensive links we have with Industry, Universities and Apprenticeships.
You will be joining a department which offers DT related courses up to A Level, in a school which highly values creativity. All KS3 students develop their skills in Designing and Making, through a range of projects. KS4 students cover DT Electromechanical Systems and Level 2 Designing the Built Environment (EDUQAS).
As KS5 we offer A levels in Design Technology and Level 3 Professional Construction Practice (EDUQAS). The successful candidate will need to learn how to deliver these courses but full training and support will be given where required.
