OLA is an independent Catholic coeducational day school located just outside Oxford offering small class sizes, excellent academic results and a warm, friendly ethos in which to teach.  

An inspirational and forward-thinking teacher is required to join our outstanding Design and Technology department from September 2020.  The post is a full-time position and particularly suitable for an NQT or someone in the early years of their teaching career.  However, we also welcome applications from more experienced practitioners who are interested in part-time teaching. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach the subject up to A level and will demonstrate the skills needed to teach at a high level.  A commitment to innovation in teaching students across a range of abilities is essential.   Having the passion to innovate, raise standards and enhance the profile of Design and Technology within OLA is a key aspect of the role, as is a willingness to take an active part in the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school and the department.

Abingdon-on-Thames is an historic, modern market town situated eight miles south of Oxford, with its world renowned reputation as a centre of academic excellence. The town has undergone recent development to upgrade the central shopping area providing a selection of restaurants, cafes and bars situated a just few minutes walk away from the river and gardens of Abbey Meadows. The town supports a mixed international community and has excellent bus links to Oxford, which is just a 15 minute ride away and provides a wealth of social and cultural opportunities.
