Arthur Mellows Village College is a vibrant, oversubscribed comprehensive College, situated on the outskirts of Peterborough. Ofsted graded the College as ‘Outstanding’ for a second time in December 2014. Students are well behaved and committed learners. Behaviour is excellent and students are keen to learn, with 77.9% of students achieving grade 4 or above in both English and Maths in 2018.
Major investment in the Technology area has led to the development of a new Innovation Centre in which to deliver a range of courses at GCSE, BTEC and A Level. This is a first class facility incorporating a large workshop area, heat treatment room, finishing room, CAD/CAM equipment, laser cutter, an ICT suite, engineering area, electronics room, and a graphics/teaching room. In addition there are specialist rooms for Food Technology.
The successful candidate must be able to teach Product Design and/or Engineering at GCSE, A Level and BTEC. Staff are friendly and supportive and committed to ensuring all students achieve their potential. The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher.
