Heartlands High School is a great place to work. We aim to cultivate teachers that are passionate about their subjects and seek to teach exciting lessons which engage learners. From September 2018, the Governing Body would like to appoint an inspirational and dynamic Teacher of Design Technology.  Demonstrating a commitment to high standards of learning, the successful candidate will be expected to make a full contribution to the life of the school. 

 The successful candidate will:

· ensure that practices in the area are safe and adhere fully to all health and safety guidelines

· assist with designing SEARCH days for each year group 

· assist with developing highly engaging enrichment within all DT subjects

· contribute to whole school learning and forge cross-curricular links

· Be able to use ICT competently to enhance children's learning 

· Be adaptable and open-minded 

· Be prepared to contribute to the wider life of the school.

Support and development:

At Heartlands, we use School IP to track and support training and ongoing CPD. Depending on your need and level of experience, you will be placed on a training pathway.

The CPD plan is released in September each year and includes a range of internal training sessions before and after school as well as on inset days.
