A well-qualified, motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of Design Technology is required for September 2019, for a full-time and permanent position.
Our thriving Design Technology Department is made up of four members of staff. The Department runs very successful examination courses in GCSE and A Level along with a varied and exciting extra-curricular programme. Student numbers and academic results in Design Technology are very strong at KS4 and KS5. We currently teach the AQA DT GCSE and OCR Product Design and Design Engineering A Level.
The ideal candidate should be able to teach Design Technology up to A level. We are looking for a teacher who is highly skilled in manufacturing and has up-to-date knowledge of new developments in DT.

George Abbot School is a large 11-18, mixed comprehensive, situated on the north side of Guildford, within easy reach of the town, the A3 and London Road railway station. It is a forward-looking and dynamic school which has a reputation for excellence in every area. George Abbot became an Academy on 1 July 2011 and went on to be a founding member of the GEP multi academy trust. We also have Teaching School status.
