The Role

Our successful Practical Arts Faculty is excited to recruit a well-qualified and engaging Teacher of Design Technology.  We currently deliver 3D materials, graphics, CAD / CAM and food preparation and nutrition across KS3, 4 and 5. Years 7, 8 and 9 follow a carousel system and complete three projects during the year. Our exam boards are currently AQA GCSE Product Design  AQA A level Product Design.

This post is flexible and can be offered full-time or part-time 0.6, the equivalent of 3 days per week (on a 2 week timetable).

You

Our ideal candidate will hold a DT Qualification, PGCE or equivalent. You will be a specialist in the technical principles previously considered as Resistant Materials, such as timber and metal based materials, polymers and electronic and mechanical systems. If successful in the post, you will enjoy a well-structured induction programme, followed by a continuous cycle of professional development opportunities, to keep up to date in this subject field.
