A teacher with a passion for their subject is required to teach Drama and Media Studies in this very popular & successful school. All applicants should have high expectations of the learning and achievement of all students and be able to inspire commitment and enthusiasm through creative and interesting lessons across all Key Stages. Drama is taught through Key Stages 3 to 5 and GCSE Media Studies is extremely popular with students. The ability to teach A Level Drama is desirable. The candidate appointed will be expected to contribute to the extensive extra-curricular activities run by the Drama Department.

The Performing Arts department currently has four full time and two part-time members of staff.
The school has a proven record of success at GCSE and A Level. In summer 2016 89% of pupils gained A*-C grades in 5 or more subjects, with 80% of students gaining A*-C in English and Maths. 34% of GCSE grades awarded were at A*/A and 51% of pupils achieved the English Baccalaureate. At A Level, 100% of pupils achieved A*-E with an average grade per candidate of B- with 16% of pupils gaining AAB or higher in facilitating subjects.
