Richard Huish College are seeking a well-qualified, inspirational teacher of Drama and Theatre A level to deliver to both 1st and 2nd year students, following the Edexcel specification.  This involves teaching acting, directing student pieces including monologues, supporting students with their own devised work and preparing them for both the examined performances and the written examinations.  A large part of the assessment is on the student’s ability to write critically about set-texts and to respond, in their practical performances, to the work of recommended practitioners. We have a strong set of well-motivated students, many of whom have ambitions to work in the industry or to apply to Drama College.   We would consider applications from those interested in fewer hours and Course Management responsibilities could be available for the appropriately experienced candidate. 

  • Salary: Sixth Form Teaching Pay Scale up to £39,329 (FTE)
  • Hours: Part Time up to 0.6 of FTE
  • Term Time Only - Fixed Term Nov 2019-July 2020

Richard Huish College is a Sixth Form College situated in Taunton, the County town of Somerset. Huish prides itself on its academic excellence and strong reputation across Somerset and the Southwest, it is more than a Sixth Form College, it is a place where students can expand their horizons and develop their futures.
