Applications from both NQTs and experienced teachers are warmly welcomed.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teacher of Drama to join EPCS in September 2018, you should be able to ignite students’ passions for Performing Arts across Key Stages 3-5. Performing Arts have enjoyed significant success at our school in recent years, and Drama is thriving, both in terms of academic outcomes, and extra-curricular uptake. This is a great opportunity to join a successful department, with strong, established leadership and a shared passion for really bringing Dance, Drama and Music to life for young people. The ability to also teach some English at KS3 would be advantageous; but is not essential.
Easthampstead Park Community School is a vibrant, cutting edge learning environment. Our school culture marries unswervingly high academic expectations with excellent pastoral care and support. We believe a healthy three-way partnership between parent, teacher and student is essential to effective learning, and are proud of our setting and local community. Teaching and learning is at the very heart of our school and drives everything we do. Our whole school expectation that students and teachers alike never stop learning means that staff quickly develop their practice and progress in their career. As part of our ethos, we expect hard work, skill and dedication and in return we provide an excellent working environment, first class professional development and an excellent benefits package. We want you to look forward to each day working at our school.
This is a very exciting time to join us. In recent years, we have made excellent progress, and at our last OFSTED inspection (June 2016), we were rated as ‘good’ in all areas.
“Since her appointment, the Headteacher has focused on making sure that all pupils feel safe, happy and confident so that they learn well. This did not happen overnight, and it is now apparent in pupils’ much improved behaviour and their positive response to the good teaching they receive.”
We aspire to be rated ‘outstanding’, driven by a core belief that all of our students deserve nothing but the best possible teaching and support in order to be happy, healthy and successful.
If you feel you have the necessary skills, mind set and determination to join us on our journey towards ‘outstanding,’ we would very much like to hear from you. If you would like to arrange to visit the school, or have any further questions regarding the vacancy, please contact Rhona Franco, our Personnel Officer on 01344 390826 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
