We pride ourselves on our community links and our commitment to giving every child access to a broad and challenging curriculum.

Our vision is to provoke passion, push progress and promote participation. With these three missions at the heart of our teaching and facilitating, we have been able to draft an enjoyable, rigorous, relevant and fully inclusive curriculum which will aid our young people to thrive in today’s fast-paced, competitive and challenging society. We believe that Drama is an important subject in its own right which allows students to learn stagecraft, acting, script work and technical aspects of theatre. It is also essential for teaching the transferable skills necessary for a successful future. The development of skills such as leadership, organisation, planning, presentation and time-keeping, as well as personal qualities including confidence, compassion and curiosity, are what makes our subject the most proficient in fostering well-rounded and enlightened students of the future. Drama is taught once per week to years 7, 8 and 9 as a core subject and two to three times per week to Drama specialist GCSE students in Years 9, 10 and 11.

We are seeking to appoint an innovative & creative Drama practitioner who is interested in playing an active contribution to the development of Drama at Lister and beyond.
