TEACHER OF DRAMA

Part time or full time, permanent position

With effect from 1st September 2020

Salary: Outer London Main/Upper Pay Range

We are looking for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic part time or full-time Teacher of Drama to join this very successful department. Hollyfield acknowledges the importance of the arts in developing young minds, and the school offers a Scholarship programme where one class in each year receives additional Drama lessons each week. The Drama department has a history of excellence in examinations and performance. Our school's theatre company, Ilex, has performed at The Lyric, Hammersmith, the Donmar Warehouse and at The National Theatre, as winners of the annual Connections festival.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is committed to inspiring and motivating students through their innovative and engaging teaching. This role is suitable for an NQT or equally a more experienced teacher.

Hollyfield is a beautiful school set in the Surbiton area of  Surrey with excellent transport links to central London which enables our staff and young people to take full advantage of the wealth of opportunities that London provides. We are an ambitious school that puts student achievement and wellbeing at its heart.

We are part of the Every Child, Every Day Multi Academy Trust and in April 2016 we were judged by Ofsted to be ‘good’ -‘The provision for pupils’ personal development is outstanding.’ Since then we have worked hard to continue to develop our high standards.

For further details about the school visit our website. Please note we cannot accept CVs and an application form must be completed.

PLEASE NOTE:

Due to the current situation, the interview will be conducted via video conferencing and the successful candidate(s) will also be required to complete subject specific tasks online within a set time.

The Governing and Trust Bodies are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our children and expect all staff to share this commitment. Any offer of employment will be subject to receipt of a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check. The schools within the Trust are committed to all aspects of personal development, are inclusive and seek to ensure every student achieves to the best of their ability.
