Job overview

Starting 1st September 2021 for one year, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Drama teacher in a 0.4 FTE role to cover a period of maternity leave.

We are looking for:

- An inspirational teacher with excellent subject knowledge

- A practitioner who is keen to enthuse students using a variety of approaches

The following attributes would be desirable, but not essential:

- Experience of teaching Drama GCSE

- A willingness to contribute to the enrichment activities of the Department

We welcome applications from NQTs as well as experienced teachers.

Our Department

We have a dynamic and successful Performing Arts department which is both supportive and collaborative and offers a wide range of enrichment opportunities, including annual productions at The Barnfield Theatre.  The successful applicant will enjoy being an integral part of this friendly and professional team.

Salary on appointment is MPS M1-M6.

Clyst Vale Community College is a mixed, non-denominational academy secondary school and sixth form for students aged 11-18. It is located in Broadclyst, near Exeter, in the county of Devon, and has about 900 pupils.

The academy is operated by the Clyst Vale Academy Trust and is specialist in science, maths and ICT.
