Job overview
Our Lady of Sion School is seeking to appoint a highly skilled, enthusiastic, inspirational and motivated part-time (0.63 FTE) teacher of Design Technology with a passion for their subject and the ability to enthuse and engage students. A strong creative background is desirable as you will be required to deliver a mixture of Key Stage 3 Design Technology and Art courses.
The successful candidate should desirably have achieved a QTS, have some previous experience of teaching Design Technology (Product Design), and be flexible enough to teach Art too. It would also be an asset, but not essential, to have previously taught either AQA GCSE Design Technology/Art, or both. You will have full access to a well-resourced practical workshop and wider facilities within the two departments, and be encouraged to actively contribute to the KS3 curriculum plans.
