Townley Grammar School is a multicultural girls’ selective school with a co-educational Sixth Form. The school has a specialism in Performing and Visual Arts with Mathematics and Computing. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher of DT, Engineering & Electronics.

We are looking for an ambitious and inspirational teacher of DT, Engineering & Electronics to join a well-resourced, highly skilled and successful department which is part of the STEM cluster.

This DT/Engineering role would suit an inspirational teacher, you will have high standards for yourself and your pupils and a happy, positive demeanour. The role is open to accomplished DT/Engineering Teachers and highly talented DT/Engineering NQTs.

In this DT/Engineering Teacher post, you will be an important member of the well-equipped Design and Technology Department across the Trust. You will equip GCSE and A Level students with the required knowledge to confidently take their exams and achieve excellent results. 

Our STEM provision extends beyond the curriculum with exciting fun-packed off curriculum STEM Days, a highly successful STEM Leadership program and numerous clubs and events throughout the academic year. The Trust is committed to a long-term vision for the future both schools that will incorporate an allowance of CPD and training time. Quickly find your feet with the help of the supportive and settled Design Technology & Engineering team as you work in the Design Technology & Engineering Department, a favourite with pupils.

We provide a full and robust induction programme for all new members of staff, as part of the school’s Staff Development Programme, with further support for staff new to the teaching profession. We encourage professional development across the Trust including opportunities to share ideas for improving teaching and learning. 

We offer a bespoke and personalised range of pathway opportunities, including NPQML, NPQSL and opportunities to study for a Diploma or Masters with Buckingham University.  This position will provide a sound foundation for further promotion within the Odyssey Trust and beyond.
