Our Results: We have a track record of excellent academic results.  In 2018 (as is typical) over 40% of GCSE grades were at Grade 7 (A) or higher, and well over a quarter of our students achieved 8 Grade 7/A grades or better.  We have averaged +0.4 for Progress 8 in the three years to date, and have been an SSAT Top 10% school for achievement and progress for the last two years.  At A level (also typical) 67% of grades were at B grade or better, and 80% of vocational outcomes were at Distinction or better.  We secure Oxbridge, Medicine and Vet Science places each year, with the great majority of students going to Russell Group or Top 25 Universities.  We have consistently achieved a ALPS Grade 2 at KS5 and Grade 2/3 at KS4.

Our Location & Community: The school is in beautiful new £48m buildings overlooking the Green Belt.  It is easily accessible from Northern, Piccadilly and Overground rail links and buses run past the entrance.  We attract students from eloquent and supportive communities across North London and Hertfordshire. We are planning an expansion in response to over-subscription.

This Role: We need a dynamic teacher to join our Art, Design and Technology (ADT) Faculty.  Under the overall leadership of the Head of Faculty (who also leads Food Technology), the successful applicant will build on the established strengths of the department.  The Faculty is housed in purpose-built and generously equipped accommodation over two floors of a wing of the school.

All students study Art, Design and Technology, including Food Technology during Years 7 and 8.  In Year 9 students opt to study one or two creative subjects from a selection of 6 within the ADT, MFL and Expressive Arts Faculties.   There are also Art, Design and Technology and Food GCSE groups in both Years of Key Stage 4, as well as A level groups in both Art and Design and Technology.  GCSE across the ADT Faculty is thriving and successful, and staff uphold high expectations of all students.  The school is committed to preserving the profile and importance of the subject through upcoming curriculum changes, and further exam groups can be added in response to demand. The Faculty comprises 7 full time teachers, 3 technicians and a faculty LSA.
