An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teacher of Electrical installation and maintenance. The successful candidate will have industry experience and will be highly motivated to join our growing and dynamic team in our further development of inspiring and innovative teaching and learning practices.
We are looking for a fully qualified Electrical Installation lecturer, who possesses excellent vocational knowledge and experience of the latest electrical technologies.
The ideal candidate will hold a full teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one and hold a level 3 electrical industry qualification or advanced craft or equivalent. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to effectively motivate and inspire others. You’ll also have exceptional organisational skills combined with good IT knowledge and sound administration skills
About Derby College
Derby College is a large general further education college with four sites in or near the city of Derby. It supports around 26,000 learners, who choose from more than 1,000 full-time and part-time apprenticeship, A-level, BTEC and NVQ courses.
Derby College was established as a single institution in 2002 by merging three further education colleges: Mackworth Tertiary College, Wilmorton Tertiary College and Broomfield Agricultural College. A merger between South East Derbyshire College and Derby College was approved in 2010. Heavy investment has been made by the college in its teaching and learning facilities, from the fully equipped teaching kitchens at the Roundhouse campus to the high-tech science labs at the Joseph Wright Centre and the Equestrian Centre at the Broomfield Hall campus.
