The College wishes to appoint a Teacher of Engineering and Physics. This is a 1 fte temporary role until 31 August 2021.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Department for this curriculum area, and will be responsible for the planning, development and successful delivery of teaching and learning within the department. Applicants must have a degree in the specific subject or related area, a teaching qualification and relevant teaching experience either in post or as a trainee / student teacher.
You will be teaching within our very successful Edexcel A level Y1 physics and OCR Cambridge Level 3 Engineering courses. Topics will include physics, materials science, electrical health and safety, some practical electronics (practical experience desired but not essential), electronic/electrical theory.
Salary for the post will be on the Sixth Form College teachers’ pay scale, depending on qualification and experience, within the range NSP 1 £24,765 to NSP 9 £40,418 per annum.
