King’s College School welcomes applications from teachers of English as an additional language who are interested in joining the school in September 2021.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an EAL practitioner to secure a position in a World Class British international school. The role will focus on the delivery of our EAL intervention programme and supporting students in Key Stage Four who are being entered for an iGCSE in English as a Second language. The successful candidate may either hold QTS in a relevant English or EAL subject or a TEFL-Q qualification, DELTA, DipTESOL or equivalent.

The successful candidate will be joining an experienced  team who strive to foster a love of English by developing pupils' creativity and encouraging pupils to enjoy and relish its challenges. Our English department has demonstrated exceptional achievement and outcomes for all our pupils, with  72% of entries in our first  iGCSE cohort securing 7 or above in 2020. This is a success we hope to replicate and build on in subsequent years.
