This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and engaging Teacher of English to join an incredibly successful English Department within a warm and lively community in the heart of Brighton.
Teaching girls who are determined to achieve the highest standards, you will play a key role in the English Department, instilling a genuine enthusiasm for the subject and inspiring students to achieve their best, using a range of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all students.
The pace is demanding throughout the curriculum, but excellent exam results in English speak for themselves and our students cover a wide range of non-fiction and literature texts and are encouraged to develop confidence in all forms of writing and speaking. With your demonstrable commitment to high academic standards, you will be crucial to ensuring this continues.
In addition to the timetabled role, you will be expected to contribute fully to the pastoral and extra-curricular life of the School.
We are ideally looking for someone to teach up to A level and welcome applications from experienced teachers or NQTS as well those willing to gain qualification within a reasonable period.
