Fixed term for one year with the possibility of a permanent post for the right candidate.
This is an exciting time to join Abbeyfield School: under the outstanding and dynamic Leadership Team, the school is moving from strength to strength. Our Ofsted in March 2017 described us as a ‘flourishing’ school with outstanding leadership and management and pupil behaviour. As a result, both the leaders and students are looking for high calibre teachers who are committed to delivering outstanding teaching and learning opportunities for all.
The Governors of Abbeyfield School are seeking to make the appointment of a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of English. The successful applicant will have the exciting opportunity to work within a highly and experienced motivated team who are fully committed to developing staff to fulfil their potential. English Department outcomes have been consistently good for students and the team offer a range of enrichment and support to make the subject fulfilling across all key stages. Uptake at Key Stage 5 is strong across three subjects.
NQTs are welcome to apply for these posts and will benefit greatly from a supportive and enthusiastic team. All our staff receive professional CPD opportunities much of which draws on our links with the North Wiltshire Schools Teaching Alliance and Challenge Partner links.
