Chulmleigh Community College is seeking to appoint a talented and inspiring classroom practitioner to teach English across all ability groups in KS3 and KS4. The successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge and the ability to enthuse and motivate our ambitious and hardworking students.   

The Role

This is a full time, permanent post, suitable for an experienced teacher or a highly motivated newly qualified teacher wishing to join a team of specialists, who ensure a high standard of teaching, learning and achievement. This post is available from September 2018 and is in response to increased provision. 

The Department

The English Department at Chulmleigh has a proven track record of outstanding results. We are an established, supportive and well-resourced Department, with a dedicated English Technician and we are looking forward to welcoming a new member of our team. 

Our College

Chulmleigh Community College, located in the heart of beautiful, rural Devon, is a school with exemplary standards of behaviour, where a high level of respect underpins our academic success. All staff play an active role in promoting our learning ethos.

In February 2015 an Ofsted inspection confirmed that we are a Good College, with students in all year groups making good or better progress in English. In 2017 our English Progress 8 figure was +0.44 and our whole school Progress 8 figure was +0.4. The College is consistently one of the highest performing secondary schools in the Southwest region and we aspire to be outstanding.
