In May 2017, Ofsted judged the school as good in all areas and the upwards trajectory of our student outcomes continues to evidence this. The class of 2018 delivered our best results ever at GCSE: 72% Basics, and P8 of 0.22 (top 30% of schools nationally). Our Post 16 outcomes placed us in the top 15% of all schools nationally with an ALPs of 3. One parent commented: ‘I cannot thank you and the other staff who've supported my son enough. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and talented teacher, who is passionate about helping young people to realise their potential, to join our supportive and successful English team. We are looking to make two appointments, one of which would particularly suit a candidate who has a keen interest in supporting students through their KS2 to KS3 transition. Both successful candidates will, however, have the opportunity to teach across the age and ability range.
We invest in all our staff, providing a comprehensive induction programme and outstanding support for NQTs or RQTs and ongoing continuous, personalised, professional development.
