A well-qualified, inspiring and dynamic teacher is required to teach English. Over 90 girls study the subject at Advanced level or at Higher Level as part of the IB Diploma Programme, with many of them choosing English related degree courses at leading universities.
In this post you would be required to teach KS3. For a suitably qualified candidate, there may be the opportunity to teach up to GCSE.
The successful applicant will be part of a team of twelve specialists in their subject discipline in a department that is well-resourced, and where full support with induction and CPD is provided. The Department is proud of its lively, collaborative and diligent approach. It aims to get the best from its students in ways that are both intellectually demanding and caring; this results in a dynamic atmosphere both in the classroom and in the many co-curricular enrichment opportunities that are on offer.
All teachers are expected to contribute to the rich co-curricular life of the College, but there are no residential duties.
