Required for September, an imaginative and enthusiastic teacher to join this forward thinking and successful department, committed to high standards of achievement at all levels. The post would suit an experienced or newly qualified teacher who is committed to teaching at the highest standard and raising the aspirations and achievements of our students.  They will be a highly motivated individual who is prepared not only to contribute to departmental resources and innovation, but also to be responsible for their own personal development, keeping abreast of change and sharing relevant experience and knowledge with the team.

Our English Department:

A department with consistently impressive results at GCSE and A Level, who have created an engaging and fruitful programme of study at KS3 to create questioning and independent learners ready for the rigours of national assessments at KS4 and KS5. This provision of an exciting curriculum, facilitated by extensive resources, is demonstrative of a department of teachers who are mutually supportive and fully engaged in the teaching of English in order to achieve the best possible learning outcomes for each individual student. - Teacher of English

Queens’ is a thriving and oversubscribed school with a well-established reputation for academic achievement. At GCSE the Average Attainment 8 Grade was 5.68. In 2019 85% of students achieved 5 Standards Passes including English and Maths.

Attainment 8 was 5.9.  Progress 8 was 0.39.
