King George V School is an inclusive Y7-Y13 Secondary School in Homantin, Kowloon with 1800 students from many different nationalities. The school is part of the English Schools Foundation. Two year substantive contract starting August 2020

KGV is seeking an innovative, flexible and dynamic teacher who can make an outstanding contribution to our highly successful English department. We are looking for applicants who are able to teach across the age and ability range. Experience of IGCSE, the IB MYP and Diploma an advantage. The opportunity to teach IB HL may be available for teachers with the relevant experience. [OPTIONAL: SPECIFIC SUBJECT EXPERIENCE NEEDED]

The successful candidate will show a willingness to contribute fully to a strong team in a dynamic and highly successful department. The planning of lessons using established units of work and sharing of innovative teaching ideas to inspire students will be expected. The successful candidate will also contribute to the extra-curricular and pastoral life of the School and this is essential.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Education, or Bachelor Degree in any subjects with PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate of Education), or equivalent

• 2-4 years teaching experience within a recognised educational organisation
