We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational teacher of English to join the English team here at Queen Elizabeth’s High School. The English department at QEHS is a friendly, supportive and forward-looking department.
The department is involved in a wide variety of extra-curricular activities ranging from visits to the First World War battlefields to reading clubs and public speaking competitions, with regular successes in the Rotary “Youth Speaks” competition and the English Speaking Union. In addition, there are also many exciting opportunities to get involved in, including whole school initiatives to enable you to grow and develop in your career.

You will be a strong practitioner with a degree and a teaching qualification. You will be responsible for the delivery of English Language and Literature to students, potentially up to A Level. You must have a commitment to practical and innovative teaching and learning, both inside and outside of the classroom. You will have the passion to be part of a successful teaching environment that inspires the students to achieve their goals.
