Job overview

Vision for Education is hiring for a qualified Teacher to deliver the English/Literacy curriculum at a small independent school in Northumberland. The school caters for 10-15 students with social, emotional and mental health difficulties as well as language and communication difficulties. Any experience working with young people out of education or looked after children would be beneficial


The suitable teacher will have a good understanding of a variety of mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression and school phobia. An empathetic, nurturing and adaptable teaching style is required. 


The ideal applicant:

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Must be available for work 5 days a week 
  • Ideally will hold a Post-Graduate Qualification in Assessment 
  • Will be comfortable working with students who have social and emotional difficulties and language and communication difficulties


In return for your hard work, Vision for Education will offer you:
