Teacher of English

We have a vacancy for a Teacher of English at Pitlochry High School. Pitlochry High School is a small All-through school in rural Perthshire. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled teacher to join our team. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to motivate and engage with young people and show that they fully understand the values and principles of a Curriculum for Excellence.

Pitlochry's location makes it an ideal gateway to the Scottish Highlands, despite being just over 30 minutes commute from the City of Perth. Perth in turn has excellent motorway and rail links to Edinburgh and Glasgow, which can each be accessed in about one hour.

Perth and Kinross encompasses some of the most beautiful scenery in Scotland, while still being accessible and well serviced with local facilities. Perth, Scotland’s newest city is the area’s hub, providing culture, shopping, leisure and nightlife.

The area has one of the fastest growing school age populations in Scotland with 100 new primary places needed per annum.
