BHS, seeks an energetic, creative and innovative teacher of English from Years 7 to 9 and at the IGCSE and the IB Diploma Standard/Higher Levels.
The successful candidate will be required, at times, to teach PSHE (Personal, Social Health Education), Global Citizenship and IB TOK (Theory of Knowledge). This position also involves the pastoral leadership of a Year Group.
Previous leadership experience in this role would be a requirement.
All applicants should hold strong academic qualifications: a Bachelor’s degree in the teaching subject and formal teacher training certification. Proven success and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in teaching the subject would be a requirement for these vacancies. A willingness to contribute to the School’s extensive extracurricular programme is essential. Prospective teachers should also be able to integrate technology in the classroom. All applicants must meet the requirements for the Bermuda Teachers’ License.
