Job overview
We are looking for an inspirational teacher who believes in inspiring children to develop a love of literature and language. Applications are invited from enthusiastic and skilled classroom practitioners who have a clear vision for teaching and learning in English. The successful applicant will be an excellent practitioner who is committed to meeting the needs of all pupils by ensuring that teaching is of the highest quality and is innovative, engaging and enjoyable. This position would be highly suitable for an NQT.
Hollingworth Academy is an oversubscribed 11-16 comprehensive situated off the M62/M60 in the town of Milnrow, Rochdale. Our most recent Ofsted Inspection graded Hollingworth as ‘Outstanding’ and since that report academic standards have risen still further. In 2018, 87% of all pupils achieved 4-9 and 72% achieved 5-9 in English.
This is a one year fixed term contract, from 1st September 2019 to 31st August 2020. The reason for the fixed term contract is to cover for a colleague’s secondment.
