Job overview

The start date for this post is July 2020.

The English Department at SJI International is friendly and student focused. We aim to nurture a love for Language based studies, alongside an appreciation of the different genres that make up the study of Literature. From Grades 7 to 10, we develop our students' understanding of how language is used in society, as well as helping them cultivate a sensitive reading of literature from different cultures and traditions. In Grades 11 and 12, Language studies become linguistically focused, while the study of literary genres is more formally based and includes works in translation. Context is the element that binds both courses of study together. We are looking to appoint an experienced teacher of both Literature and Language (linguistics based) in order to complement the courses of study available to our students.
