Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of English (KS4-KS3).  We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, who is enthusiastic, efficient and well organised and can enthuse the learning of children with Specific Learning Difficulties. The role demands the flexibility to incorporate the school’s literacy programme into their subject’s work for which the school will provide appropriate training. It is not a requirement for the candidate to have prior training in teaching dyslexics. In return, we can offer a unique school where students learn to read and write very quickly using the school's own icon teaching system and are able to achieve quite remarkable progress in their learning leading to successful futures. In 2018 all year 11 pupils passed GCSE English and one third of pupils achieved a grade 6. The school is outstanding (Ofsted 2017) and the pupils are very well behaved and are eager to learn to overcome their difficulties.
