We are looking to appoint, on a full time basis, an enthusiastic Teacher of English who will help maintain the department’s excellent reputation. Collaboration, teamwork and support are central to the philosophy of the department and we enjoy very positive and encouraging working relationships. We offer an excellent NQT induction programme, supported by the Local Authority. We have a great reputation for being a warm, welcoming and supportive school and value our teachers for their creativity, individuality, imagination and flair.
The ideal candidate for this role would be an inspiring teacher who will be able to teach KS3, KS4 and KS5. Previous experience of teaching IB is not a requirement but the ability to teach post 16 is essential. The ability to teach another subject is highly desirable.

St Benedict’s Catholic High School is a mixed, mainstream, Roman Catholic secondary school in Alcester, Warwickshire. It caters to students aged 11 to 18 and has approximately 851 pupils enrolled.
St Benedict’s Catholic High School was founded in 1963 as a voluntary-aided school administered by Warwickshire County Council and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham. The school is named after Saint Benedict of Nursia, the patron saint of Europe and students.
A purpose-built £6m sixth-form building was opened in September 2011.

Vision and values
St Benedict’s Catholic High School strives to "encourage, support and inspire young people and the wider school community in the journey of faith". It aims to create a family environment where everyone is valued and respected. Teachers work hard to support the intellectual, creative, physical, spiritual and religious development of every pupil.
St Benedict’s provides a broad curriculum that includes English, maths, science, Spanish, history, computing, geography, technology, art, music and PE, as well as RE. Pupils in Years 7 and 8 take part in a Curriculum Carousel where they take subjects such as dance and drama.
The secondary school organises educational visits to places around the country and abroad, and creative activities such as school plays and poetry recitals.
