Our school is a thriving 11-16 foundation comprehensive which is committed to challenge for all and support when needed. We provide learning opportunities to allow everyone to develop their knowledge, skills and attitude so that they can become outstanding young adults. Our culture celebrates and rewards those high standards.
We are looking to appoint an inspirational English teacher who is capable of maintaining the highest of professional standards and who places the child at the centre of everything they do. We are looking for staff who are reflective practitioners, have a solution-based approach and a ‘can do’ attitude. The successful candidate will be committed to continued professional development and fully engage with whole school priorities for improvement.
Our English department is housed in a newly refurbished suite of nine teaching rooms, each with state of the art learning walls.
We recognise that the study of English requires that students see themselves as active participants in reading, understanding and creating. As such, the department offers pupils many opportunities to experience enrichment and extra-curricular activities.
We place huge value on staff CPD and invest to ensure required training is available. We are very proud that we have been particularly successful with middle leaders completing the NPQML and teaching leaders programme – with one colleague recently being awarded the teaching leaders special award.
To obtain an application pack, arrange a visit or for an informal chat about working at the school please contact Diane Jamieson or Katie Mcwilliams at permanent@visionforeducation.co.uk or call on 0191 267 6555 or 07713 323792. Further background information is available on our website:
