Teacher of English

Part Time - 0.5 FTE over 3 days (Monday, Wednesday and Friday)

Maternity cover required from 4 February 2019 to December 2019

We are looking for an excellent Teacher of English with a passion for education. The post will suit a well-qualified graduate, committed to delivering an exceptional learning experience for every pupil. English is a popular and successful subject at Woldingham. The department consists of a highly committed team who work with a focus on independent learning. There is a culture of sharing resources and ideas. 

The successful candidate will be a good honours graduate and communicate an enthusiasm for all aspects of the English curriculum. She/he will have high standards and be able to bring out the best in the pupils at Woldingham. The ability to teach English across all Key Stages and up to A Level is essential combined with first-rate organisational, team working and ICT skills. 

Our girls’ passion for English speaks for itself and A Level English Literature is a popular and successful choice every year. Our school has an excellent record of Oxbridge success too. In addition, we provide an outstanding range of facilities including a departmental library.
