Unlike other schools, we introduce all students to Enterprise in Key Stage 3 which enables the students to understand the key areas of the subject ahead of their Key Stage 4 options.
All students also receive a Chromebook in Year 7, allowing for exciting, dynamic teaching and learning from the first lesson.
At Key Stage Four, we currently offer the Level 2 BTEC Tech Award in Enterprise, Travel & Tourism and Creative Media Production, while in the Sixth Form we offer the International Baccalaureate in Business Management, Economics and Film alongside the BTEC Extended Diploma in Business and Creative Media as part of the IB Career-related Programme. Media Studies is a popular subject within the school with an outstanding track record of success. The department is extremely well resourced with a dedicated edit suite for Sixth Form Film and Media students and an extensive network of Business contacts and opportunities for students to benefit from.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, highly motivated and an excellent classroom practitioner who is committed to student success and development. Experience of teaching Media Studies is essential, whilst experience of delivering Film is desirable but not essential, it would be a benefit for candidates to have experience of teaching Media Production. They should have a passion that inspires our students. Most importantly, there is a real opportunity to contribute to a highly successful team that is making a difference.
For the role of Enterprise teacher experience of teaching a range from Business Management, Economics or Travel & Tourism are desirable but not essential.
