Start date: September 2018

We are looking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Food Preparation and Nutrition to join an excellent, supportive and well-resourced department.  The successful candidate will be required to teach Food and Hospitality & Catering to students of all abilities at Key Stage 3 and 4.    

Smithills was a Specialist Performing Arts College from 2003 and 2013. We have a strong commitment to Performance, Music and Art and our World Championship bands continue to captivate audiences both in this country and abroad. Academic excellence is, however, at the heart of everything we do and we are achieving that without damaging the extraordinarily rich opportunities our pupils have here.  Our school campus and sports facilities are very large and set in beautiful surroundings to the the north of Bolton.

Smithills School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school situated in Bolton, Lancashire. There are approximately 1200 students at the school, between the ages of 11-16.

Smithills School converted to academy status in 2014 and is a member of the ConcertED multi-academy trust and the Bolton Learning Alliance.
