We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic teacher with a passion for French to join our friendly and supportive department. The Language’s department at Netherhall School achieve remarkable results at GCSE and A Level.  If you would like to be part of this outstanding department please apply. This is an exciting time to join Netherhall School, rated Good in all categories in a recent OFSTED inspection.

‘Staff and pupils, without question, the Headteacher has been an inspiration, giving them belief that all can achieve.  Throughout his tenure, the Headteacher has demonstrated passion, integrity and highly skilled leadership.  This school has been transformed in a remarkable short period of time.’ Ofsted, February 2018.

‘Pupils are enthusiastic about Teaching and Teachers are enthusiastic about Teaching.  Pupils love coming to school.’  ‘Pupils have considerable respect for their teachers because they believe their teachers are doing a great job!’ Ofsted, February 2018.

‘Relationships throughout the school are excellent.  There is great mutual respect between adults and pupils.’ The ideal candidate will have excellent subject knowledge, the desire to extend this knowledge and the ability to contribute to continued improvements in student attainment.

Candidates should be able to teach at KS5 as well as KS3 and KS4. This role would suit either a newly qualified or an experienced teacher.  A willingness to take part in overseas language trips and to develop links with French speaking schools abroad would be an advantage.

The school is located on the fringe of the Lake District National Park, a great place to live and work. Netherhall School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The successful candidate will be subject to pre-employment checks including an Enhanced DBS (CRB) check.

The application pack is available in the ‘Vacancies’ section of the school website: www.netherhall.cumbria.sch.uk.  Alternatively please contact Annette Glynn on 01900 813434 (Ext 205).
