We are looking to appoint a Teacher of French to join our successful, dedicated and enthusiastic department. The post represents an excellent opportunity for career development and to teach across the age and ability range. The Alun has a full induction programme in place and you will be well supported during your first years in teaching.
Our French department achieves excellent GCSE and Advanced Level results. Many of our A level students have enjoyed success in gaining places at prestigious universities to study French.
The Alun School, which is situated twelve miles from the historic city of Chester, is a co-educational comprehensive school with 240+ in each year group and a Sixth Form of almost 400 students. Our school offers an extremely supportive environment in which to work. Students are enthusiastic to learn, and behavioural issues are managed very successfully through our strong House system. We have a diverse programme of extra-curricular activities and relationships with parents are very good. All members of staff are very positive about their school and staff turnover is very low.
