We are looking for a dynamic, qualified Teacher of Geography, either experienced or NQT.

What we are looking for:

We look for talented individuals who want to be a part of transforming education in London, and helping create exceptional places of learning. We want to appoint staff who will make a difference to the Harris Academy Falconwood during this exciting and challenging time. 

You will have the ability, drive and enthusiasm to make a difference to students and young people from Bexley, Greenwich and the surrounding area, and to help build on the academy’s outstanding first eight sets of GCSE results. You should be able to teach Geography to at least Key Stage 4 and hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree. 

The successful candidate can expect to work in an atmosphere of mutual support and co-operation. There will be ample opportunity to develop your teaching styles and learn leadership skills within our highly supportive Induction or NQT Programmes.

About Harris Academy Falconwood

Harris Academy Falconwood opened in September 2008. The academy’s specialisms are Enterprise and Sport with a can-do, enterprising culture in which everyone is stretched, nurtured and encouraged. Our accommodation since September 2011 has been a new purpose built academy to the value of £25 million. We have twice been judged ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, most recently in November 2017.

School summary

Harris Academy Falconwood is an 11-18 co-educational academy for 1,100 students. The academy opened in September 2008 on the site of the predecessor school. Harris Falconwood benefits from a brand new, state of the art £25 million building offering the very latest facilities and equipment. Ofsted judged the academy to be Outstanding at both its inspections in 2011 and 2014.
