Teacher of Geography

Felsted SchoolFelsted, Essex

Commence September 2021
Permanent | Term-time (34 weeks per year)

This independent day and boarding School in North Essex has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified, inspiring and talented teacher to join our Geography department and teach across all age ranges (Years 9 to 13) within our Senior School.

It is key that the successful candidate is passionate about Geography, has strong subject knowledge, able to deliver excellent teaching at GCSE and A level and is committed to being fully involved with fieldwork. Experience of teaching the International Baccalaureate would be an advantage.

This position is a permanent role from September 2021. Although this is a full-time role, applications for teachers seeking part-time hours will be considered. Applications are welcome from NQTs, or those looking to enter the profession, and more experienced teachers: the school has an excellent support programme for beginning teachers and works with IStip to enable NQTs to be awarded full QTS.

A desire to fully contribute to the co-curricular activities at the School is a must at this ‘Excellent in every aspect’ ISI rated school, including boarding, tutoring, sports and activity programme. Felsted School has its own salary scale which compares favourably against other independent schools and is well above that of the maintained sector.
