Would you like to be part of a school where the strengths and talents of students and staff are extremely valued? (Ofsted February 2018)?
Would you like to work in a school where the culture of being happy and safe means pupils can, and do, enjoy being at school? (Ofsted February 2018)?
Are you an outstanding teacher with the passion and motivation to inspire young people?
If so, then you will not want to miss out on the opportunity to be appointed as a Teacher of Geography at our high-performing College, where students make progress that is above the national average.
Why come to Latimer? This is a fantastic school to work in: as a result of our success and popularity, we are over-subscribed and have a very strong positive reputation. On interview, we ask candidates for their impressions of the College and without fail they comment on how wonderful our students are, the supportive team ethos amongst staff and how friendly and welcoming the College is.
We are a tight-knit unit striving for the very best for our students and we are focussed on and passionate about learning.
We genuinely care about our staff, their well-being and their professional development: we are a happy team, committed to working collaboratively and sharing the very best practice. This was very much recognised in our most recent Ofsted inspection, where we sustained our Good rating.
If you are an outstanding teacher it really is worth applying for this post. We are seeking to appoint a candidate who is passionate about Geography; a team player who will thrive on collaboration and teamwork; someone who really wants to make a difference! We are primarily looking for an applicant who can teach Geography at KS3 and 4. The ability to teach the subject to KS5 would be of interest to us. There may be a requirement to teach the other Humanities subjects of History and RS at KS3.
We welcome applications from NQTs and we run a highly supportive and successful Early Career Framework programme. If you are a trainee and looking for a post from September 2021, we would love to hear from you. We also have a strong track record of leadership development and succession planning and would be interested in an ambitious candidate who is keen to progress to leadership in the future.
The Latimer Arts College values the diversity of our workforce and welcomes applications from all sectors of the community.
Closing date: 9.00am on Monday, 24 May 2021.
Early applications are encouraged as we will review applications as we receive them; and applicants may be contacted before the closing date.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
