We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher with a real passion for Geography. We offer an exciting opportunity to enhance an already highly successful and motivated team, characterised by an ambitious drive for excellence centred on the academy’s motto ‘Students First’.
You will have the drive and vision, to deliver excellence in this department and have a clear focus on outstanding outcomes for students. You will support the Head of Department to ensure that effective teaching and learning is in place to raise standards and transform our students’ life choices.
Historic Ripon may be the third smallest city in Britain, but it's home to one of the country’s best performing academies. In our last OFSTED inspection (January 2016) we were judged outstanding in all areas. Ofsted recognise that ‘Outstanding teaching is at the root of students’ excellent achievement’ and ‘the excellent behaviour of students contributes to an outstanding climate for learning’.
As a Teaching School, we offer high quality support and programmes of professional development, which provide many opportunities for both NQTs and for more experienced colleagues, with scope to build a career across a range of schools. There are dedicated Directors in this curriculum area who provide subject specific CPD and in school support to ensure that quality teaching and learning leads to exceptional outcomes for all students.
