Job overview
TEACHER OF GEOGRAPHY (MPR)
required for September 2018
Owing to staff relocation, Ormiston Bolingbroke (Runcorn) and Chadwick (Widnes) Academies are seeking to appoint creative, inspirational and enthusiastic teachers to teach Geography from Key Stages 3-4 (both schools) and to KS5 at OBA. Both roles are full time and do not require regular travel between the sites.
Ormiston Academies Trust is a national, not for profit sponsor of 34 primary and secondary academies. OBA and OCA have a long history of collaboration and support of each other. The Principal of OCA, Mrs Tuesday Humby, is a former Assistant Principal at OBA and has led OCA to become an ‘outstanding’ school. She is now a Regional Director for Ormiston Academies Trust. OCA holds a vision to become a Teaching School. OBA is a school that in its recent Ofsted inspection report ’requires improvement’. It is now under new leadership and is a school that with the support of OCA, has the aspiration, desire and ability to become an outstanding school in its own right.
Therefore, this is an excellent opportunity for ambitious, well-motivated and talented teachers to join our innovative and passionate schools, both of whom are deeply committed to social mobility and are focussed on ensuring our students reach their full potential. Both positions would suit either an NQT or experienced teacher.
We have an excellent NQT training programme and offer you many opportunities to develop your career. A strong professional development package will support you throughout your career with Ormiston Academies Trust, with the aim of advancing you both personally and professionally. In return, we ask for excellence to enable our pupils to achieve their dreams. If you are excited by the prospect of being part of a vibrant and constantly developing team you are welcome to visit either or both academies.
Details and application form are available via email from y.hedgecock@ob-ac.co.uk or can be downloaded from the school website. Completed application forms and covering letters should be returned to the Mr E. Wright. We can only accept applications submitted on school application forms.
Please indicate on your application form whether you wish to apply for one or both of these positions. Closing date for applications is Monday 29th January 2018
